I've just upgraded MediaWiki to the current version. Breakages are inevitable after such an upgrade, so please let me know of anything that isn't working properly.

A number of site changes to announce:

 • We're now running MediaWiki 1.21. Let me know if you see anything that's obviously broken.
 • MW 1.21 allows us to install the support necessary to fix the broken references that show up as {{#invoke:...}}.
 • Relatedly, ProveIt has been installed by user request. You need to enable it in your preferences if you want to use it.
 • the annoying reCAPTCHA has been replaced by a PlayThru.

Now that the balance of the broken citations have been fixed, page loads are sometimes longer, especially on articles that have many references. Be patient: subsequent loads are usually a lot faster, but please let me know if you're having problems (and especially if you get timeouts.)

Support for direct embedding of Gravatars is now available. Example code (for a right float):

http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/HEX_ID_GOES_HERE.png

Users now have the option in your My Preferences to have MediaWiki email them notification when their watchlist changes.

Certain antispam measures have been introduced, the most important of which is that edits now require that you have confirmed your email address.

The most important site policies (with which all editors are expected to comply) are now posted. If you haven't read them, please do so now — particularly those relating to biographies of living persons and copyright attribution required by most free licences, including content derived from Wikipedia.
